Global Health Non-Profit Partner in Technical Assistance

RTI International (RTI) is ideally suited to provide global health business and technical assistance to portfolio companies of the Commons Global Health Fund. For more than 30 years, RTI has provided technology assessment and commercialization services for government and industry, engaged in pharmaceutical and medical device research and development, assessed the health impact of new interventions, and strengthen healthcare systems in the developing work through policy analysis and capacity building. They have contracted with USAID, the Global Fund, UNICEF, NIH, and other organizations to provide research and technical assistance in global health.
The Global Health Technologies (GHT) team, headed by Doris Rouse, works with multidisciplinary teams across RTI International to provide technical assistance to three product development public private partnerships (PPPs) funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation – the Global Alliance for TB Drug Development, the International Partnership for Microbicides, and the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative. As part of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease's Tuberculosis Drug Development Program, the GHT team is actively facilitating partnerships between biotechnology companies, research labs, foundations, and international organizations to cooperatively develop, test, and introduce new TB therapies.
