Bart
Holaday is the former co-head of Private Markets and
Managing Director of UBS Brinson, the Chicago investment
management firm, where he oversaw the management of over
$12 billion in private market investments. He was a member
of UBS Brinsons Investment Strategy Committee, Chairman
of the firms Private Markets Investment Advisory
Committee and Co-Chairman of its Private Equity Subcommittee.
Brinsons private equity investments under Mr. Holadays
management achieved average returns in the top quartile
of performance for similar investments over the last 10
years. Before joining Brinson, Mr. Holaday was a Principal
of the InnoVen Venture Capital Group. He has served on
a variety of corporate and non-profit boards and has been
a Board Member of Investors Circle since 1996. He
also served as a Board Member and Treasurer of the National
Venture Capital Association. Mr. Holaday has a BS from
the U.S. Air Force Academy, a BA from Oxford University,
where he was a Rhodes Scholar, and a JD from George Washington

Henry
Newman is a
General Partner of Solstice Capital LP, a $23 million
socially responsible venture capital fund that has invested
in twenty early stage companies, and Solstice Capital
II LP, a new fund of $50 million with similar investment
objectives. Prior to joining Solstice, Mr. Newman was
a Vice President of BancBoston Ventures, Inc., a venture
capital subsidiary of the Bank of Boston which managed
$ 100 million in venture investments. BancBoston Ventures
is licensed as a Small Business Investment Corporation
by the Small Business Administration. Previously, Mr.
Newman held various financial management positions at
Bank of Boston and was a Certified Public Accountant at
Coopers & Lybrand. Mr. Newman sits on the boards of
Lipton Corporate Child Care, Proton Energy Systems and
Secure Technologies. He graduated from Bowdoin College
and received an MBA from the Wharton School at the University

Ann
Partlow is a Senior Portfolio
Manager and Financial Counselor at Rockefeller & Co.
where she manages the socially responsive investments
group. She has been the general partner and investment
manager of Odyssey Fund since its founding in 1977. Odyssey
Fund invests in innovative socially responsive public
and private companies. Ms. Partlow was also the founder
and general partner of Libra Fund from its founding in
1991; Libra Fund is a socially responsive fund for global
large companies. Ms. Partlow was a pension fund investment
officer at Bankers Trust Company before joining
Rockefeller & Co. in 1974. <Back>
Robert
Shaw is a leading
venture investor in the fields of renewable and dispersed
energy generation and specialty materials. He is currently
President of Aretê Corporation which manages a $40
million venture capital fund investing in small-scale
sustainable energy systems. For 14 years prior to that
he was founder and President of Aretê Ventures,
Inc., which raised and invested over $95 million of utility
industry capital in five venture funds focusing on energy
and environmental technologies as well as telecommunications
and software companies offering utility applications.
He continues to manage these five funds. Dr. Shaw was
a Senior Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors
of Booz, Allen & Hamilton, where he was a founder
of the firms Energy Division and had profit center
responsibility for a consulting group of over 40 professionals.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Shaw conducted materials and
electronics research at Bell Laboratories and at the Cavendish
Laboratory in the U.K. He currently serves as Chairman
and a Director of Evergreen Solar, Inc., Proton Energy
Systems, Inc., and Northern Power Systems, Inc., and as
a Director of BurstPower Technologies Corporation, and
Potomac Photonics, Inc. He received a Ph.D. in Applied
Physics from Stanford University, an MPA from American
University, and MS and BEP degrees from Cornell University.
